Serge Darveau 1,210
Dragon warrior is one of my favorite video game on NES. In fact, I've the Dragonlord pseudo on a lot of games and forums. My boardgame collection was in the 70/80's, so my daughter show me Carcassonne three years ago, and I've probably the most complex Carcassonne game of the world with about 4000 tiles. The 10 008 game play was just with base game. I've created some expansions with new tiles, new mechanics for the game. Also created cards expansions with the Zipang card game. Also created solo and 2-4 players mode for the werewolf game. Knowing a good place for games parts, the time to create my own game has come. I will show you the game to the beginning to the end. It's a game using about 120 tiles, 300 cards, 60 dices and 34 plastic/resin minis. Edited December 4, 2017 by Serge Darveau

RomyCat 1,050
Ooh, this sounds intriguing. I LOVED Dragon Warrior as a teenager. It was the first RPG I ever played, and it opened up a whole new world to me. Afterwards I started playing the Final Fantasy series and Ultimate series. Sill, I will never forget enormous fun my family had with Dragon Warrior. Even my mother was playing it. We each had our own game file and competed to see who would finish the game first. (It was me, I believe). So how does your game work? What are the rules? Looks like you have put a lot of thought into it.
Serge Darveau 1,210
It's the beginning.40 euros for the tiles and minis, 80$ for the ink of the PnP of the cards. With the dice tower and sorcerer ks done, I should be ok to progress. But I've not finish to introduce the game.
Serge Darveau 1,210
Player's dices D6 for level player and D12 to move At the beginning, you play with one D6 and one D12 First you roll the D12 for the tile you can move 1 and up: Castle, city and village 2 and up: lawn 4 and up: savanna 6 and up: wood 8 and up: mountain 10 and up: lake and wiward's castle If you don't move, you get half the life point going up. The D6 are used to fight the monsters. Play one dice for level one and 3 for level 3. (just need one black dice, should get it very soon)
Serge Darveau 1,210
Monsters's dices Monsters from the cards use D4 to D30, the dragons: D60, sorcerer D80 to D100 and the wizard: D100 to D160. (missing D14, D16, D22) There's the the monsters'life counters Money: 1/5/10/25/100

Serge Darveau 1,210
Set up of the game: Each player receive one D6 and one D12, some money (to be tested) and a marker for the last castle/city/village visited. After placing the first tiles: Adding the wizard, sorcerer and dragons. (don't have all the minis at this time nor the tiles) In a bag, put all the mountains and lakes tiles, draw tiles to make another circle around the damned land. Add wood, savanna and villages for the next circle. Add lawn and cities for the next one and finish all the circle. Each player put his castle connect to a lawn tile. Each city, village and castle should be more than two tiles away.
Konas 4,279
@Serge Darveau Looks cool. Can't wait to see how it progresses.
Serge Darveau 1,210
After the set up off the game tiles (the look will be different every game except the center). The first player rolls the compass dice to move the 6 dragons of one tile. After, he rolls his D12 to leave his castle. At level 1, only one dice, so forget to go on the wood or mountain tiles. Going on the lawn tile with a 2 roll and over or the savanna tile with a 4 and over roll, you pick up a monster card from the lawn category. You could get a card like this; (I will not use the card above, may be copyright so I will make mine during the winter) D4 monster card means he rolls a D4 to attack you, have 4 life points and you will get 4 coins for the win. The warrior rolls his D6 and the monster his D4. Warrior life will be ajusted with the playtesting. If you get 3 on your first roll, leaving one life point of the monster, you could add this monster for your companion if you're not dead Fighting monsters give money to buy weapons to increase attack and defense, but you have to reach a city (5 weapons cards choice) or a village (3 weapons cards choice). You have to change city/village to get a new weapons cards choice. Using the marker for it. Somethime, rather than a monster card, you could get some items. Keeping the defeat monsters cards, you could trade it to upgrade your level by adding another D6 on your attack and get more life points. Points for the next level will be playtesting before. So it's only the beginning of the game project.

Lindsey 758
Feels and looks like Dragon Warrior! How long are games on average?
Serge Darveau 1,210
Still making the components of the game, so no testing yet.Everything on card won't change, but you can change the life points of the warrior, dragon, sorcerer and wizard, the points needed to upgrade level, removing easy or hard cards of the game, so it could be easy to difficult. Special quests could be add.

Did you get Tgpumkin’s permission to betray him as a monster? Do you have to pay him a royalty fee?
