Did you make sure to ask her in your interview questions her opinion on pumpkins and Halloween? I hope she doesn’t participate in such savage practices as carving innocent pumpkins or feasting on their innards baked into culinary confections.....
Unfortunately I forgot that particular line of inquiry.

Since everyone is melting in the insane heat wave this week I've got some exciting Dog Might News to plunge into.
A NEW CHALLENGER APPROACHES!
On Monday a new Team Member will start here at Dog Might, bringing her expertise in shipping, industry know how, and sweet melee skills to our office. Who is this mysterious new Viking? You'll have to check in Monday to find out and say hi!
Sentinel Boxes Are Live!
Our newest design, the Sentinel, is now available for purchase! Originally designed as an alternative to the traditional deck box, the Sentinel has proven to be one of our most useful and popular products ever! It's been play tested and developed for LCGS, CCGs, RPGs, and Board Games. Check it out for yourself here http://dogmight.com/sentinel
Dog Might Is Sponsoring A Game of Thrones North American National Championship!
Dog Might is honored to be chosen as one of the sponsors this year for the AGOT North American National Championship. This amazing LCG is a beloved game often played after work in the offices. It's also one of the things that brought the original company founders together and drove them to create a tabletop company. We are excited to give back to the community that has given us so much by providing the championship prizes this year.

We entered Sawdust in the World's Cutest Rescue dog contest today because he's so darn cute and we can raise money for the shelter that rescued him! Oh and he gets a year's worth of dog food which he is pretty pumped about (it won't last a year).

Here’s the link to the Kickstarter campaign. Give them a shout and see if they have more copies for sale!
Thanks! Maybe I can convince the Mikes it's for research.

My Dice Tower from Kickstarter came in today and I have attached pictures and a video. I have to say, it would be nice if it was just a bit bigger as some die get stuck at the top or inside and need a little nudge. We tested it using the dice it came with (the set was missing a D20, but came with 2 D12), metal dice that a got with out here sleeve, a set of 2 D6 balanced dice, and a plastic set of polys my husband had on hand.
The tower is Bubinga and beautiful. I love the color and lines. One of my top favorite woods I have so far.
That's such a great combo of sculpt and engraving!

My three-year-old daughter has this one:
I will put the acorns in the wrong colored spots and she will giggle and say, “Daddy, you so crazy. That not right!”
I don’t know how the actual game is played, but it’s great for initial level indoctrination into love of the hobby. I also have Echinda Shuffle for her, which she calls the Hedgehog Game.
I WANT ECHINDA SHUFFLE SOOOOO BAD!!!!

That looks fantastic and that's a game I am way to intimidated to try out. I've seen the battlefields and they look as amazing as they are crazy full.

It's natural. I looked it up.
"Caño Cristales (English: Crystal Channel) is a Colombian river located in the Serrania de la Macarena province of Meta. It's a tributary of the Guayabero River. The river is commonly called the "River of Five Colors" or the "Liquid Rainbow," and is even referred to as the most beautiful river in the world due to its striking colors. The bed of the river from the end of July through November is variously colored yellow, green, blue, black, and especially red, the last caused by Macarenia clavigera plants (family Podostemaceae) on the bottom of the river."
That's crazy!

Hopefully this is natural and not some sort of beautiful man made destruction.

Hahaha, what the heck?! I had no idea.
And now I want Squarriors.
You can probably have our copy after we play it a couple of times. I don't think we'll keep it as part of our collection.

Our friends at Tuesday Knight Games have just released a Beta version of their upcoming Sci-Fi Horror RPG Mothership. I was lucky enough to get to play this at Origins and it's pretty much a simulation of what it must have felt like to be in the movie Alien. This game is hard and terrifying and so much fun to play. If you're a fan of Horror RPGs or are looking for a system that is easy to learn but insanely hard to survive then check it out!
An upcoming Tuesday Knight Podcast will feature the live play of our session and you can see how gloriously I died to an enemy we named the Chest Waxers. I'll post it here when it's live!

On the 8th of June Fantasy Flight Announced the discontinuing of Netrunner, marking the end of an era. For the last 6 years Netrunner has proven the LCG format can work and offered players a completely new gameplay experience. The cult following Netrunner has earned is no small thing and the community was completely caught of guard by the announcement. Our own @Zoe was a dedicated player who is still coming to terms (sometimes loudly in the office) with the sudden ending. Many other Dog Might team members play various Fantasy Flight LCGs and lunches here often consist of the speculation on whether the other card games are safe from the same fate.
Tons of speculation is floating around about what happened and which company decided to pull the licensing agreement. Some of the speculation speaks to a total reboot of Netrunner online or it going back to its CCG roots. I'm curios to know what you think is happening and for anyone who's part of the FF organized community do you think it's for the betterment of the other games or is a sign of harder times to come?
Here's the article about the announcement

WTF was this guy thinking? "Can I hold it" is not the same as "Can I smash it into the convention floor?" Even if no one thought it would break - the sound itself would have been rude to the rest of the convention go-ers and exhibitors.
You are nicer than I would have been - I'd have fleeced him for everything he had.
The noise scared the crap out of everyone. I was in the middle of a demo for Countdown and I had to start the game over because I couldn't pull myself back together.

We got Rhino Hero Super Battle, Reef, and Dragon Fire at Origins so I'll let everyone know how they are. Hoping to play at least two of them this weekend.
