Most Ashamed of: His unlawful rogue sister

Chopper is the most courageous paladin you have ever met! You can count on him to rush to the party’s rescue! …after the danger has passed. He has a heart of gold and will forever be loyal to those who pet him. You can often find him taking a nap on his companions’ laps or in their beds.

    So freaking cute!!!!

Dead of winter a long night on sale for 30 bucks at Amazon. It’s a stand-alone expansion but  I don’t have either game yet.  Loved Dow the original but now deciding if I should get long night or just original.  @Lindsey thoughts?  Anyone else can chime in too.

The Long Night is a great Stand alone expansion that features the original game along with a few expansions. You'll miss out on the original characters and some crossroad cards but I think it's well worth it. If you love the game as much as me you can always go back and get the original version.

It is (was?) on their web store. I can't find the link on my phone, so Maybe be sold out?

Generally the contents include a starter box, two heavy warjacks, plastic token set, and a Titan. The titan alone is worth the cost of entry.

If you order multiple, you're guaranteed to not get repeat factions. I got Cygnar and Cryx. Was hoping to get menoth or kador but random is random (a coworker plays cryx, ordered 3 boxes and might trade when he gets his).

That sounds like a great deal! Mostly I've been only painting and playing Warmachine and Hordes with the occasional Guild Ball thrown in. @Konas has been rocking some new samurai game lately that has the world's smallest minis.

Omg, so true. Bones will be a huuuiige avalanche.

I also have Paladin sleeves showing up today. And a pair of mystery boxes from Privateer Press ($240 worth of figures for $60, mystery grab bag, I got 2).  And an Amazon order of random stuff. And our new ezpass for the toll roads. And a pair of dress shoes I bought online.  And 2 pairs of pants I got for work from another source.

I bought all this stuff over weeks and months soliciting various sales and deals. And it's all confirmed delivered... today.

How'd you get the mystery box from Privateer Press?

Thanks again @Lindsey!! Last question for you (hopefully), will the bowls in the Five Bowl Interior Top fit D6s and D20s from the Wooden Dice collection when closed? Thinking about getting a Maple Sentinel and Wooden Dice :)

Oooh good question. Let me get @Konas in here because he knows the measurements of all those things really well.

Need opinions, especially @Konas.  Monte Cook's project is out for pledgemanager.  There are a ton of add-ons.  Some are his Cypher rule book (revised), card deck, and character portfolios.  Are these worth adding on?  They add on $100, so I don't want to get them if they aren't worth it.

Maybe the card deck but I probably wouldn't go in for those things. Plus they're almost always add ons you can get later from the next project if you decide you need them.

Thanks @Lindsey!! What configuration would you recommend? I’ve been going back and fourth between: 1. Card Double top + Card Double bottom (sideboard in the top, maindeck in the bottom, and dice in the sides) or 2. Triple Top + Card Triple bottom (sideboard in one of the triples, maindeck in the other two, dice in the top).

I was using the Card Double top and the card triple bottom. This was mainly because I use little gems as my counters and needed to fit an entire EDH deck in. The Triple top and Triple bottom is probably better if you use multiple dice for your counters and having a pen handy for tournaments is also nice. Also keep in mind that if you get the Sentinel and are for any reason at all unhappy with it we'll give you a full refund or help you send it back to get different interiors. When you order feel free to send @Zoe an email letting her know you double sleeve and want to avoid damage to your sleeves. She'll make a note in the order to make sure we sand everything as much as possible to keep any extra friction from happening.

Hi Everyone, I'm a Magic player who's looking for a new deck box that can not only transport the deck (i.e., 80-90 double sleeved Magic cards consisting of a 60 card main deck + 15 card sideboard + 5-10 card tokens), but also the other gaming paraphernalia that go along with playing a game of Magic (i.e., dice, tokens, etc.). I stumbled upon the Sentinel and it looks like it COULD be that solution, but I have a few questions:

    1. Will my deck fit into the Sentinel?
      • I double sleeve my deck for additional protection, however, this slightly increases the thickness of the cards. The 'Card Triple' Interior Bottom states that each well will hold 50+ sleeved cards. With a total capacity fo 150+ sleeved cards across the three wells I assume 80-90 double sleeved cards will be fine. Can anyone speak to the size fo the Sentinel as it pertains to double sleeved Magic cards?
    2. Will the Sentinel protect my deck?
      • Looking at the image of the 'Card Triple' Interior Bottom on the website, the corners of each well appear to be slightly curved / angled. Do these corners have the potential to impact the shape or condition of my sleeved cards?
      • I plan on carrying the deck box to and from my local game store in a shoulder bag. Are the magnets strong enough to hold the two sides of the Sentinel together in transit?

Finally, if anyone could share any pictures of their Sentinel being used to store Magic cards it would be hugely appreciated. Thanks so much in advance!

Hey @prepare4robots ! I'm the MTG player at DMG headquarters and I've been using the sentinel with no issues for my EDH deck. I don't believe you could do double sleeve with EDH but if you are looking to transport a double sleeved standard deck, some tokens, and your side cards you should be fine. I testing the sentinels out with my sleeve of choice (dragon shield) and had no issues or damage to the sleeves. The magnets will also never come apart on you, they are crazy strong! During the design of the sentinel I actually tested it for MTG extensively at my Magic and Whiskey club. If it holds up to me throwing the box around after tasting 5 whiskeys it will hold up to anything.

I have a suggestion for a wood species to add to your lineup. Rowan tree (Sorbus aucuparia)! The modern name is Mountain Ash. The Asian\European variety not the North American variety.

This species is very significant in Celtic, and Norse mythology and lore. NOBODY else sells any Rowan dice that I can find. I'd buy some tomorrow if I could.

Here is one link talking about it's significance: https://thepresenttree.com/blogs/news/rowan-tree-meaning

Here is a link to a celtic legend about a particular island that contained a Rowan Tree. The ruin's of my clan's ancestral castle is on that island!  I recently went to Scotland boated out to the island and climbed up to the castle ruins.

Every time I hear about Rowan wood I think of Harry Potter haha

  12. A new playtest is live today and we would love some more gamers to join the team! It's a game of mazes and sabotage for 2-4 players. You can earn discounts off Dog Might gear and get your name in the Rulebook!

If you're interested please email me at lindsey@dogmight.com to sign up today!

I'll leave this pic here as a teaser...

Ok so this is my personal opinion, but having received so many wonderful wooden gaming products from Dog Might Games, I have fallen in love with chechen, a very beautiful wood.  It has become my favorite wood so far that they have put up for sell and that is saying something because they have a lot of beauties in their shop.  ?  The beauty in this wood lies in that is it chatoyant which means when the light hits it, it exhibits beautiful changing luster throughout the wood.  It also has a strong golden blonde and reddish brown tone, highlighted with other dark streaks.  Simply put, its pretty stunning.    Below are some youtube links I put up that show off chatoyancy in the wood.  As well as some pictures.  However chechen, will always look way better in person than in pictures due the chatoyancy it exhibits in lighting!  Don't forget that when you think about which wood to pick!  Pick chechen!  Please feel free to add any wonderful DMG pictures of chechen that you might have!

Yes! Truly Chechen is the greatest of all Dog Might Woods

I've been painting on and off through the summer and am finally ready to show off the results.

    Mimics & lights.JPG

My sister and neice gave me a two-piece mimic set for Christmas that I adored painting. I bought fire holders that I was thrilled to see the final results. The legs really look like they are made from metal. Hard to imagine these were all solid white once.  I can't wait to sneak my mimics into a RPG.

For Christmas, I gave my sister a bar set. Here are some of the pieces. The wagon came separately from the rest.

    Bar scene.JPG

Here is the whole bar set minus the dancer and bar keeper which I am still working on. The table to the right and its stools are from a different set.

Beware trying to steal from this tavern. The drinks carry quite a bite.

I love this set! Where did you get it?
