@Dean, great job on Pinky. You brought happiness to a special girl. :x

An inspiring way of using your talents to help others.

Thanks @Zoxe! It was incredibly rewarding to "merge" my miniature painting with my nursing practice for a moment & brighten up a kids day. I'm glad to say I work at an Amazing hospital, with a Fantastic group of people, with some INCREDIBLE Kids & see WAY more "successes" in these kids journeys... more "Triumph" than "Tragedy" is how I like to put it.  But, that being said... fingers crossed & here"s hoping "Pinky" can bring some Real Unicorn Magic to her situation.

I'm out of reactions again!  DMG really needs to figure that out.

It's awesome what you are doing.  My constitution roll is always low, so it's great that the world has people like you in it.  I like seeing different people's unicorns.  There are so many different interpretations out there.  You went a completely different route than I did.  Fingers crossed for your sweet patient.

I love seeing another persons interpretations of minis too!  Helps me to develop my own ideas.  This little girl, She loves the color pink... thus the inspiration for the way I went with my paint job.  I have some other color scheme ideas if another unicorn ever comes my way to paint.

My unicorn is on page 12...

Nice... A Classic white unicorn & a rainbow mane. I think the next time I do another, I’d like to try something “darker.” Like maybe purples, blacks, & greens.

Slathered it with mother of pearl glaze.

Been awhile since I painted a humanoid figure. Here is my recent one, before I have sealed her.

She looks like she could be on "Claws" or "Animal Kingdom".

A character in chapter 2 of Cthulhu: death must die.  Not sure what emotion I'm feeling, but I must paint this mini.

I've been painting on and off through the summer and am finally ready to show off the results.

Mimics & lights.JPG

My sister and neice gave me a two-piece mimic set for Christmas that I adored painting. I bought fire holders that I was thrilled to see the final results. The legs really look like they are made from metal. Hard to imagine these were all solid white once.  I can't wait to sneak my mimics into a RPG.

Bar furniture 7 wagon.JPG

For Christmas, I gave my sister a bar set. Here are some of the pieces. The wagon came separately from the rest.

Bar scene.JPG

Here is the whole bar set minus the dancer and bar keeper which I am still working on. The table to the right and its stools are from a different set.

Bar scene_beware mimic.JPG

Beware trying to steal from this tavern. The drinks carry quite a bite.

@RomyCat this is amazing.  Absolutely beautiful.  I’m soooo jealous of your artistic talent.  Never was good at the physical arts .  My younger brother got those genes .

I wish I could do miniatures like you and others.  Very nicely done :)

Supercool!  I love all the furniture. It sounds really silly, but it's not easy to paint brown on brown on brown and get a realistic "wood" result.  Well done.

Ditto.  I actually find doing realistic "wood" than realistic fire.  Your fire bowls turned out really nice.

I finished my last mob.  They turned out better than my enthusiasm level would have predicted.  Pictures to follow eventually.

A lot of these are from the Deep Cuts series. Some I picked up online. Others at a FLGS in a nearby city. Here is a link to Miniature Market selling some of them. The Deep Cuts come already prime so you can start painting immediately.

Rusty Dragon Inn Tavern Set seems to be hard to find, though I only bought it a few months ago. There is a painted and unpainted version. I got the unpainted version on Black Friday weekend right after Thanksgiving with a 20% discount.

I thought the rusty dragon inn looked familiar. I have the painted version that I got as the case incentive to one of the Pathfinder battles sets we have.

Yours looks pretry darn cool @RomyCat!

Still needs a seal coat, but my latest Massive Darkness monster.  I kind of like him.  You don't want to know how many coats of different colors and washes and dry brushes.  I'm still debating on whether to add some more details (like on his blemishes and bumps).  Part of me wants to add eyes, and part of me thinks that will ruin it.

What do you think about the eyes and bumps?  Leave it alone or try doing more?

I would at least put a wash over the eyes to make them pop a bit. Something dark. Always try doing more. No fear. Charge forth!
