New Stuff Coming Out of the Wood Shop

Vilhallas Leapardwoord screen.JPG

I was random clicking on different ones, reading about them. To my surprise this one is leopardwood. I own several leopardwood products and would not have guessed from the picture it was also made of it. With the dark green finish, the natural scales of the leopardwood do make awesome dragonscales.

Yeah.  The stain is called dragon scales.  I've never seen it on anything but Leopardwood.

Those Valhalla are soooo gorgeous. I must have one. Hard part is deciding which one.

You need the dragon scales one.  Or special order another sculpt in leopardwood.  Would make most sense on one of the dragon* sculpts though.

😲😵

These are two different woods banded vertically together (as opposed to the normal horizontal banding for our other Valhalla Screens). Can you guess which two woods?

The new Amber screen is pretty too.  Normally I like the natural wood finish. but that one is on the short list of stains I'd be interested in.

I agree. Once again, our tastes align.

That amber is really cool.  I really like the dark rainbow.  Maybe you need a page to showcase the different stains and let people weigh in.

Is that more of Annie's work?

No, I believe it is Scott's.

Curious what you think of these, more painted screens.

I certainly like this. I like how it brings out the details more than what a solid color would do.

Agreed - I think it depends on the sculpt (and the stains) as to how I think it would work.  This one definitely works very well.  I'm not sure how you'd approach painting the Samurai for instance.

Nice!  But you know I would like it better if it was more subtle like the dark rainbow.

Yeah I agree on the differing sculpts will work better than others. Some of them, like the Samurai, may require a more subtle color difference to really work if you went that route.

And it's gone!

Hopefully to a good home.  I'm kind of surprised the Galaxy screen is still there.  The last one was taken almost immediately.
