How's the weather in your neck of the woods?

Recommended Posts

We're getting a mix of sleet and rain. No snow thankfully as we were in a winter weather advisory predicting 2-5". So the weather is not great, but it could be a lot worse, so I'll take this and not complain too much.

Sunny and warm so I grilled some chicken outside. It was very yummy.

It's 9 pm in Minneapolis, and it's 82 frickin' degrees out.  My thick blood doesn't know what to do but sweat.

5 weeks or so ago, there was 14" of snow on the ground.  Not a drop of rain for the last two weeks.  Now the finger of God is over my house, and it's going to be wicked hot this weekend.   It's about 8 pm and it's 88 degrees out.  Geesh.

Ick! That's North Carolina weather, right there. I spent a summer there and when I arrived in that thick humidity, a resident described the humidity as 'walking through blood'. I still think it was pretty apt. The rain and thunder storms were the only escape and relief.

LOL  Walking through blood.  I got woken up by thunder early this morning so I decided to get the grocery shopping done before work.  It was only about 70 out, but the dew point is definately in the 70's.  Note: More people that you would think would be shopping at 5:15 am.  Plus side is that's all done.  The minus side is now it's 8:40 and feels like 10:35.

Never fails.  The hosta pop out and look glorious about 2 days before a big hail storm.  So far so good, but a squall line is heading toward us.  Got pelted by hail, but 95% bounced off.  Of course my favorites have the most holes in them now.

We are starting to get into the time of year that we don't see rain for a few months unless a thunderstorm rolls through (also not terribly common). A little breezy today but not as much as yesterday. Mid 70s so not too shabby otherwise here.

Recovering from an absolute sweltering weekend and now getting pummeled with rain. My wife just sent this picture from her drive near our house. Streets starting to get a bit dicey.

It's raining here too, but the real heavy storms all went north and south of the Twin Cities.

Snow!!!!!!!!!!  I'm soooo jealous!  Wish it was like that here.

In the Deep South of USA, this is more what it is like. Our air is thick and humid, clinging to you when you step outside. I had to cut grass in it yesterday.

The weather in MN is made to make gardeners weep.  14" of snow in the middle of April.  100 degrees in May basically killing the iris, tulip, bleeding heart and other spring blooms.  Then it cooled down once the flowers got burned out.  Then the yard got hailed on.  Now we are finally ready for the July blooms to pop.  87 degrees Thursday.  100 degrees Friday.  Storms on Saturday.
