How's the weather in your neck of the woods?

Note: At least your plows have room to plow wide roads.  It's just a matter of time before they shut down parking on certain sides of the streets.  I estimate my street is 5 feet more narrow.

A picture from a street of a town about 60 miles of mine...

We get more than normal, but it's less snow than the famous storm of 1971.

Barring more snow this morning (40% chance of it), we'll end February with 39" of snow after 2.8" of snow yesterday.  Whimper...

February has been relative mild snow wise here in Chicagoland.  We had some snow but nothing too crazy.

One of the breweries in Central Oregon came up with a clever way to measure their snowfall. They do admit that this was one of the drifts and not the main snowfall, but funny none-the-less.

Another week, and another record fell.  Last night it got down to -11.  A new all time low for 3/2.  At least the ice dams aren't getting any worse.  It won't be long, and I won't need to close the blinds in the bathroom though.

Here we go again.  I guess I know whether I'm going to Jaemus' for games or staying  home and watching the MSU vs meat chicken game on Saturday night now.  Sadly, this doesn't look like it's going to be a light and fluffy foot of snow.  I should get up on a ladder and try to create some channels in the 1st floor ice dams tomorrow.  I need to pick up a bottle of booze for Ed too...

Many local towns broke Feb snowfall records. We didn't but was close.

Snowing again today but we are forecasted to get freezing rain too. At least my orchestra got in a practice last night (canceled 3 plus 1 make up was canceled).

The numbers have started to come in.  5-15" of snow with more on Sunday.  Gulp...

I guess I know what I'm going to be doing over today and tomorrow.  Snow removal from the pergolas and garage roof.

Here she comes...  6-12" estimates for snow.  Sounds much better than 8-15".

Yowza.

We are supposed to get rain/thunderstorms.  I went out early and worked on the car before the fireworks start.  Now I'm back inside, and ready to do some more painting.

Me too.  I went out for breakfast.  What a madhouse.  I'm really glad I keep ear plugs in my purse.  Then I went to the hardware store to get a bag of sand.  Of course they are out.  Last week they were out of the ice melt pucks, and the week before that they were out of roof rakes.  It was either little rocks that I would have to clean up or nothing.  Then I saw the cracked corn.  I bought a couple of bags.  Hopefully I don't regret the decision later on.  But I figured it would help keep traction and the animals would eat it.  I hope that ends up being true.

We all knew this was going to happen.  I just hope my ice dams don't cause a roof leak before they melt away.
