We've talked about this in other threads. I spent the better part of the weekend assembling my BT Gloomhaven Org, punching out all the tokens/tiles, and fitting everything back in the box. Started Friday afternoon, finished with tray assembly on Saturday, let the glue cure overnight and then put it to use today. My Gloomhaven copy was still in shrink wrap, and I think I have between 6 and 8 hrs invested in this project. Side note: Oh, that new boardgame smell. Wow. Question for those of you who also have this organizer - does yours sit above the top of the box? I think it would fit flush but I have 3 character (white) tuck boxes that don't seem to fit anywhere. I remember the guys at PAX unplugged talking about needing to handle your "active" characters separately but don't recall exactly what they said.
Some of you may be on Isaac's newsletter, but just in case here is a relink for the Gloomhaven fans. Gloomhaven Celebration #1 was just announced!!! (see full text below). We'd already have signed up but already have a binding commitment that weekend. https://www.eventbrite.com/e/gloomhaven-1-celebration-tickets-43260820278
Needing something to do while waiting for my copy of Gloomhaven from the second Kickstarter to come in, I have been looking into how to upgrade the gaming components. I started with buying Broken Token insert. It comes in laser cut sheets of Baltic Birch. I stained mine with American Walnut color then assembled the pieces. Afterwards I added varnish--perhaps too much as the large tray kept reflecting light when I took its picture. There are 17 pieces in total, though I don't know what all of them hold yet. Also, it comes with 27 tuck boxes for the monsters (which I didn't take a picture of). I enjoyed the staining and assembly. Made me want to work on more projects. Now my eyes are turning towards painting miniatures.
