We went from mid 30s to to around 60 degrees last weekend and then dropped back to the 30s.  I had a splitting sinus headache all day Saturday - I can't think of a time where I had a more debilitating weather change.  I don't get migraines but that headache laid me out flat.

Today it was in the 20s all day with wind chill below zero.  Yes, winter is back.

As I type, I'm hearing ice pelt the skylights in our greatroom.  Winter weather advisory and just over an inch of ice expected. Hopefully we keep our power lines up.

I hope you feel better soon.  My lower back is thinking about, maybe, just maybe, getting a little better.

  2. Does anyone proofread anymore?  I'm finally catching up with some NCIS episodes.   At the end of the 2nd to last episode there was a screen: "Happy New Year to the men and women who protect and serve our county at home and abroad."  I'm so relieved that my county (Hennepin) is being protected by men and women at both home and abroad.

Another idea!  A literal "wall of flames" for the DM to run game behind.  What's extra cool (IMO) about this is that it lends itself well to several different color options:

    • Fiery red
    • Infernal green (blame white wolf for associating green with Infernalism)
    • Icy Blue
    • Abyssal Black
    • Something something Purple

    Etc.

Dark rainbow flames would be sick.

So for those who might still be interested Badger is running their Birthday sale again this year.  Now $56 for an airbrush (plus S&H).

So it ends up being $70 for US shipping.

Couldn't resist and ordered a Sotar even though I haven't started using the Patriot I got from them last year yet :D

That has to be one of the most horrible websites I've seen in a long time.

Wasn't sure where to put this but figured this was a good spot:

My husband saw a Kickstarter Survival Horror card game where you play scientists and are exploring other planets. It is a cooperative game but he has no idea what it is called. Anyone happen to know what it is?

Nevermind, found it: Unsettled.  And all the more appropriate to go in this forum since its apparently already over : ).

I broke my new year's resolution already when I backed this with 2 hours to go.  If the occasional regret kicks in, I could probably be swayed into a swap or something.

Soon to be achieved - Meet someone from my World of Warcraft guild!

One of the ladies in my guild lives in Michigan, I just found out, AND she's moving super nearby in a few months! We're going to hang out once she's settled in after the move. :) And, of course, she gets to come have a tour of the coolest place in Ann Arbor.

Don't forget to lock up the most unruly lumberjacks.  I'm looking at you Leather Mike.

Yeah, FFG's LCGs are pretty damn addicting. For a while, we were hooked on 3 of them and had to get everything that came out. Then, we got too busy and cut back a bit. Thank goodness.

Now, I will be pestering you to play the Arkham Horror LCG . I have already turned @tgpumpkin and @WxCougar!!!!!!!!!

Elder Sign is sitting on my shelf of shame.

Uh oh, did you just play your first Fantasy Flight LCG?!!??!?!?!?! You have opened a can of worms.

Right!!???!!?!  I'm already wondering when the next set of cards are going to be available.  😜

I played Spiderman, Josh was Black Panther, and Drew was Captain America.  Ultron was fun because he kept taking your top card and turning it into a drone.  Spiderman gets another card for each villain  and minion that attacks him.  So between Ultron creating a drone from your deck and Spiderman drawing extra cards, I cycled through my deck about 2.75 times.

    1. No new KS games, period.
    2. No new FLGS games, period.
    3. Get at least 4 games off my shelf of shame
    4. Assuming it arrives as scheduled, paint the gingerbread gang, and run another Christmas one shot.
    5. Paint another game's minis.  Leaning towards Vindication, but Who Goes There is in the running.

Not my bucket list item, but a Minnesota Gopher (football), Casey O'Brien's, bucket list item.  Casey has suffered through 3 bouts with cancer, 17 surgeries, multiple courses of chemotherapy.  He had to have a rod put into his leg so he could continue to walk.  Last Saturday, he came into the Illinois game as a holder on some extra point and FG tries.  His first appearance in a B1G football game.  The players and the coach were very emotional when he came into the game and successfully put down the ball for the first kick.

I saw this again when I came to see @Zoxe's post.  Casey's cancer has reappeared.  Send him some support.

Sweet. That is one of my favorite drinks. The skull is a fitting choice.

I really like it.  I got it 50% off.  If I had known how good it was, I would have bought more, but I was thinking if it was good, there is no way they would discount it that much.  A couple of people bought cases, and they took it off sale.  Oh well.

Love the giant. Nice work. I have to hand it to you, Barb, you are the most consistent painter of the bunch. You definitely kick out a lot more work then I do.

Is that a bottle of Auschentoshen in the background?

Yes.  It has a spalty skull stopper, so it looks good too.
