  1. Let me know if you ever want some custom foam to insert in that space to hold pins, watches, etc. It would be easy to do.
  2. Wow. High of 71 going down to a high of 37. And I know this is coming our way.
  3. Any grocery store. It is actually quite common. My local Meijer has it.
  4. MKs Polish Chili Brown 1lb of ground beef (80/20) and 1lb ground pork. Set aside. In a big ass pot: Sautee 1 white onion, bunch of garlic cloves, bell pepper (I like Orange ones) in butter. When sufficiently browned add all of the following: 3 cans of Chili Beans 1 can of corn 2 large cans of fire roasted diced tomatoes 1 can tomato paste 1 can of dark beer Then add touches of all the following coffee soy sauce chocolate chili powder hungarian paprika garlic powder onion powder salt and pepper Clancy's Fancy hot sauce (or your fave) liquid smoke Worcestershire sauce Cayenne pepper Bring to a boil then simmer for a few hours until it reduces by about 15%. Serve with sour cream and more hot sauce. I think that's all the ingredients. Hard to think of them all outside of my kitchen. The soy, coffee, and chocolate are the secrets that really give it amazing richness. Good good stuff that I have been cooking for over a decade.
  5. I can give you my super duper excellent chili recipe, with special secret ingredients, but I don't really measure or use 'recipes'. If you're cool with a little 'feel your way through' cooking style, I can share it.
  6. I am in the same boat. I use Sling to watch live TV. Don't do it too often, mostly for sports. But, with Fox gone, I can't watch my lovable Lions. Hmmmmm…...maybe that's a good thing.
  7. Okay @Zoxe. I just found out that when we decided to make wooden dice, our foreman at the time purchased an airbrush for finishing them. Our normal spray gun worked better, he was supposed to return the smaller one but didn't, yada yada....we still have it and I am taking it home to use for minis. It is a Paasche TG Talon and looks like it has pretty good reviews. I have ordered the compressor from amazon that you linked on your blog and I will be off and running in the airbrush world. I plan on watching youtube all weekend, reading your blog again, and checking out other tutorials. Any other thing I should be looking into? Also, ventilation. Any thoughts or resources for that? Thanks in advance.
  8. You have more of our stuff than I do! Fantastic collection!
  9. Yeah, I am lucky to have a dedicated space that is always read for painting. A lot of days, I'll just walk in, put on one coat and go back to doing whatever else I was doing. Makes it a lot easier.
  10. Both of those are true!
  11. Yeah, it is pretty big. Its a lot of grass to cut but I do love the space.
  12. Okay, finished a bunch of things over the weekend that were in process for a bit. 2 minis from the L5R mini crate, 1 Hordes mini, 1 from the Rising Sun board game, and one Arena Rex model. Pretty pleased.
  13. Yay! They look great! Thanks for your patience. Really, using this thread as a timeline, you've only had to wait 81 pages.
  14. Yes, practice is everything. I always told my students, "I don't believe in talent, only work."
  15. Really nice skin tone on this. In the words of one of my figure painting profs from art school, it is very "fleshy flesh".
  16. Yay! I saw those in finishing earlier this week! They look great!
  17. Hope he has a big floor jack in his apartment! 😉
  18. So pumped for this! The cover looks great!
  19. No bother. Sorry I didn't see this earlier. You can add as many magnets as you would like on the back. There really isn't any limitations. The pull force is roughly 3.3lbs per magnet per the manufacturer. The outer edge is doable but some of them can be organically cut. We could leave them flat if you wanted to add magnets to them. No, the rods are not magnetized enough to hold objects. Hope that helps!
