  3. Finally settled into my new place, and I figured I'd share a photo of my DMG stuff! The cardboard dice box is empty, but I like it and think it completes the space. I'm still incredibly proud of the Sentinel and Player Pad. I had intended to make my own Dragon Glass, but moving was so hectic that it was just easier to pay the team to do it for me. It's prettier than I could have gotten it anyway! Not pictured is the amount of times my cats have tried to knock everything over. Thank goodness my home office has carpet. Oh, and of course, my very special Dog Might cutting

  4. My new Looking Glass which fits with the necromancer character I play in Pathfinder. Hidden among the dice is my pride and joy Leopardwood D20 (far left, middle row) from DMG. The Looking Glass is smaller than I had thought, which makes it light and easy portable. I'm eagerly looking forward to showing off this case at my next Pathfinder meeting. For Christmas my sister game me these two card holders made of my favorite two woods: leopardwood and rosewood. These card holders are FAR larger than I had guessed. Impressive and beautiful. My cat Rose playing Cat Lady. Can you

  6. Have received my new dice tray and seen that it has more room inside than the other, so I've put my precious. So, having a flash in my head, some magnets, glue, jenga blocks and red paint... It can be used with the CoCo tray Or another tray

  7. After weeks away from the bench, I'm starting to paint a bit again - bugs, heat, and humidity have helped entice me to stay indoors! This is a piece I'd intended to take Reapercon this year. He's 99% complete, pending any last minute adjustments after he sits for a few days. I'm really happy with him, tho he's almost overpowered by the base. PS - That's a the base off of my Dog Might mini holder serving as a makeshift plinth for pictures!

  8. The player pad I got for my wife arrived last week and I finally was able to pry it away from her long enough to get a picture. The 4e cover came out great and she absolutely loves it.

  9. Happy hump day everyone! I am in a fantastic mood despite not sleeping at all for no apparent reason. Got the new table home and, I must say, it looks so much better at home than it does in the shop lighting. The figure on the curly maple is just stunning. Not great pics that don't capture the warmth of the wood but I am very pleased. Just in time for Pandemic Legacy tonight!

  10. Hi Everyone! I'm new here. I just received the most beautiful creation from the DMG Team, and I had to share pics with you all so I could bask in your envy share my joy! Anne took up the challenge of satisfying a picky customer and personally worked with the exceptional crafting team to come up with quite frankly the perfect Sentinel. Redheart banded with African Mahogany, and my goodness is the sheer crimson something to behold. I tried to take some nice pics but the finish really has to be seen for real! I changed my mind on what dice to put in it when I saw the coloration. An

  17. Snagged up this beautiful Black Limba Looking Glass from in stock the other day! My partner and I call Black Limba "Boo Limba" because it looks just like Miss Boo's fur. My best friend did the beautiful art of Miss Boo for me. Gave this to my boyfriend yesterday evening so that he won't miss the kitties too much while he's away for work. I didn't have time to get him one to match Calliope, our calico, but I'll mail that to him when I get it. Here's a photo of the original art, because she is SO TALENTED. Edit: he also feels VERY STRONGLY that no one but us gets our kitty engravi

  18. Here’s what I worked on today for Maker’s Day! Hand for size comparison. I spent a LOOOONG time sanding these, but it was super fun. I brought them home to finish sanding over the weekend, and will have them sprayed on Monday. I used the laser to cut out the shapes which made it easier, but gave me a lot more sanding to do. For my first time making wooden earrings I’d say it’s not too shabby at all! I’m excited to see what I’ll be able to do with more practice.

  19. OOOOOOO! Two awesome ideas: First, banding with Redheart, rather than as the base wood. Second...Canarywood!!! That's one wood I don't have anything made from. I love colored woods! I have nothing against, and appreciate the fine art of wood staining, but there's just something about what nature makes unaided. 🙂

  21. You have my permission to be jealous of my custom card box. Experimental Aurora stain, with a ship's wheel carving on one side, and a diving bell helmet on the other (to make it suggestive of the tarot card from my deck it's based on). It's going to hold so many business cards at shows! Thanks Dog Might--it came out even better than I hoped!

  26. In case you were ever curious, the D20 Theme Box can /just/ hold 3 full 7-dice sets of metal dice! I had to put the d4s point down to make it work, but they're all there! (3 different sets of dice from Metal Dice Games.)

  27. I've learned of a cheap mini storage solution. From Ikea. Super easy to assemble. Just put the trays in upside down (metal side up), and glue mini magnet to the bottom of the minis. The shelves come completely out, so you can store minis for a game together on 1-n shelves and pull them/put them on the game table. https://www.ikea.com/us/en/p/kvissle-letter-tray-white-70198031/

  29. @Barb Bliss Thank you for all the detail!! Great to hear that you find them a good weight and size for long sessions, that was one of my biggest questions. I think that size will work for me, too. Also sounds like the wire is very intelligently designed, per DMG's usual, and I'm glad to hear that the cork is replaceable. The dog in your photo looks great! Sounds like you've been having a great time with the painting handles. @WxCougar Thanks for info! Glad to hear it's comfortable for you and that even a large mini is holding on securely with just the tack and cork, very promising

  31. This is really funny as I'm about to head to Jaemus' house to play the Void Seeders expansion to Nemesis. Excuse the Polish guy that translated it. I think it adds to the charm. Nemesis: Aftermath & Void Seeders is an expansion for Nemesis. It contains all of the stretch goals from the Kickstarter campaign: the Aftermath expansion, the Void Seeders expansion and the Medic. —user summary "Every spaceship has a voice; a melody of machinery and subsystems its crew learns intimately during long travels. The problem is, ever since the last mission our ship sounds WRONG. There’s somet

  37. I have a game "night" on 12/22. The plan is to play Roll Player, and then take them on a journey to "War in Christmas Village". I WELCOME ANY/ALL IDEAS AS TO WHAT TO DO. I thought I'd have fortune teller tell them to follow the white rabbit (ala Neo and the matrix and Jefferson Airplane). Then there is a bunny ("Cotton") with a gun belt slung over one shoulder. I'll have him running by saying "We're late!" over and over and "Come on! Come on then." here and there while waving his six shooter over his head. They have to follow or we can just start drinking. They'll get into a sheltered

  39. Thread necro! Updating with a few more random items. Hobby Lobby Round #8 Brushes - (Probably available elsewhere if you have a political aversion to HL.) These are cheap synthetic brushes that have gained prominence with some pro painters for their ability to quickly basecoat and apply washes. You can jam paint in the cracks without ruining a large $30 natural fur brush. However, they also maintain their tip pretty well, and with some practice you can pull off some amazing details. With care, they last awhile but if you need to sacrifice one you're out less than 50 cents. A

  43. Here's my entry to the 2019 Miniature Monthly Masters. I truly didn't anticipate entering anything. I haven't really spent any time at the bench since before Reapercon (October was a blur of personal and business travel). The next "big" contest that I want to get into is Reapercon 2020 and probably won't do anything at all for Gencon. But, last weekend I found this little Reaper Winged Cat in our loot bag and decided on a whim to get him onto a base and see what I could do with limited time. The base color is more of the Color Shift Paint (GS World Darth Blue). It's a nea

  47. I procured this fine fellow from one of the vendors at our monthly craft faire. He does prop and practical effects work for a living, and makes evil gourds on the side. It’s cast from some mystery material with a generic name (surprisingly heavy) and is hand painted. He also had some disturbingly realistic looking skulls on hand...
